How is chocolate stored ?
Undoubtedly, there is no one who does not like chocolate :) Chocolate has an antidepressant effect because it increases the happiness hormone serotonin. It has been scientifically proven to make people happy. The raw material of chocolate is the cocoa bean. (Cocoa grows on a cacao tree called Theobroma cacao, which grows in Africa and South America, with a height of 4-15 m.) Chocolate is produced from cocoa butter, cocoa powder, milk and sugar. There are 4 types of chocolate: milk, dark, white and ruby chocolate, which has been popular in recent years.
One of the most common mistakes made when storing chocolate is to store it in the refrigerator at home. The best environment for storing chocolate for a long time is the chocolate cabinets we see in patisseries and chocolate stores, which are set with a special degree. Of course, since we do not have such a chance at home, you can store it in a dry and cool environment that does not see direct sunlight, does not receive moisture, and does not get air. My favorite storage place is inside the console in the living room :)
Generally, the shelf life of chocolates is 1 year, you can consume them fresh in 3-4 months :)
As another suggestion; Do not place chocolate near foods that have a strong smell. Because chocolates are affected by the smell of other foods quickly, they can undergo a flavor change.
Why does chocolate turn white?
If the chocolate is out of storage conditions, the cocoa butter rises to the top and becomes white due to heat loss. There is no change in taste, but the chocolate becomes dull and you don't like the look.
How do you know if the chocolate is spoiled?
It can be understood from the shape, taste and smell that the chocolate is spoiled. Chocolates with a changed odor should not be consumed. A bitter and foreign taste indicates that the chocolate is spoiled.
